In 2017 GR8 Tool Hire were approached by representatives of Ridgeons Tool Hire Group enquiring into whether we would be interested in purchasing Ridgeons Tool Hire Services. This would entail taking on two new depot locations and a number of staff members. Bringing GR8 from a single depot with 7 staff members to having 3 depots with 25 members of staff in a very short period of time. The biggest challenge for GR8 was to be certain we could assure our quality of service and honest reputation we had worked so hard to build at Bishops Stortford would be maintained whilst growing so quickly. GR8 took the opportunity without hesitation to take on this new venture. Within a matter of months, we were up and running within Ridgeons depots at Saffron Walden and Cambridge.

Here we are today with the 3 fully operational depots located in Bishops Stortford, Saffron Walden and Cambridge. We are proud to say that we have managed to maintain our standards of equipment and customer service to a level that we are confident our customers appreciate.
